1. Q: What is Armory Light?
   A: Since the official World of Warcraft Armory can be, at times, slow and resource intensive, we want to give players a lightweight alternative, that not only resembles the Blizzard Armory but also adds new features like character evaluations and ratings to improve your PvE effectiveness. We hope that the service provides a useful guidance for both hardcore and casual players.
   
   
2. Q: Where do you get your data from?
   A: All character data is retrieved from the World of Warcraft Armory. This also imposes certain limitations on Armory Light. For example, we can only display your character like the Blizzard Armory does, including only all the items that were on your character the last time you logged out. Item, zone, NPC and other game data is taken directly from the game files and are copyright by Blizzard Entertainment.
   
   
3. Q: Why is your site so slow/down/not working correctly?
   A: All data is retrieved from the Blizzard Armory. Even though item and character data is cached, the data needs to be refreshed every once in a while. Unfortunately, this implies that Armory Light is highly dependant on the response time of the Blizzard Armory.
   
   
4. Q: What does that cache stuff mean?
   A: Since the World of Warcraft Armory does not update their data in realtime, there is no need to continually retrieve your character sheet. Armory Light uses snapshots of your characters that are valid for several hours and are retrieved when you view your character for the first time. During the validity period, subsequent views of the same character will be served from the cache.
   
   
5. Q: Why do you have ads on this site?
   A: The ads are here to help cover the server and development costs. They are placed so they are not disrupting your browsing experience but unfortunately we need the ads. If you have suggestions for ads other than the ones served by Google, please send an e-mail to support@armory-light.com. We are permanently looking for new ad sources.
   
   
6. Q: How can I redirect armory links to your site?
   A: We provide a script for Greasemonkey, a Firefox extension, that modifies all armory links you come across on the internet so they point to Armory Light instead. Read more about Greasemonkey here and - if you already have Greasemonkey installed - get our Greasemonkey script here.
